Ketchikan Winter KingsSalmon Fishing
Winter king season runs between Oct. 15 and Jan. 15 with Nov. and Dec. as the peek time. The winter kings size runs 10 to 30#. Winter king fishing is not for the faint of heart, the weather can be cold and blustery. The quality of the winter fish is off the hook, Copper river salmon cannot hold a candle to the taste and texture of a fresh caught winter king.
The Bites On! Charters is a locally owned and operated fishing guide service. Captain Clay Slanaker grew up in Ketchikan and has 30 years of experience fishing for Salmon, Halibut, Snapper, other Rock Fish, and Cod.
Come and enjoy Alaska's friendliest catch with Captain Slanaker of The Bites On!
